A genuinely better-looking app, and strong Markets implementation.
Platmart's UI is one of the better-designed editors in the category — clear, modern, opinionated, and approachable for non-technical merchants. If aesthetics rank highly in your evaluation, they win on this dimension.
Their Shopify Markets integration is also genuinely strong. They were one of the first to ship per-market price overrides as a native flow rather than an afterthought, and their currency-rounding rules are well-thought-out.
For stores under 3,000 SKUs that prioritize UI polish over engine architecture, Platmart is a reasonable choice.
Engine reliability at scale, audit depth, and a usable free tier.
Large-catalog reliability. Our engine is validated on catalogs up to 80,000 SKUs. Platmart reports timeouts and incomplete runs on jobs above ~30k SKUs (visible in their public review history). If you're a mid-market store with a large catalog, this is the difference between a sale that ships and one you spend Monday morning fixing.
Resumable rollback. Both apps snapshot; both can rollback. But we're idempotent and resumable — if Shopify rate-limits us mid-rollback, the next attempt picks up at the last successful row. Platmart's current implementation restarts on most failures, which on a partially-completed rollback means re-touching SKUs that were already restored (and on a 50k SKU job, that compounds).
Audit log depth. Platmart caps audit retention at 90 days and doesn't yet ship CSV export. We retain up to 5 years on the Scale plan and export to CSV from the Growth plan onward. For any merchant whose finance team or auditors need price-change history, this is decisive.
