Why is Starter billed once a year?

At $18 per year (~$1.50 a month), Starter is priced to remove the barrier to entry. A monthly bill at this level wouldn't cover the transaction overhead. If you want to pay monthly, Growth at $9.99/mo is the shortest commitment we offer.

What counts as a "SKU edit"?

Each variant whose price or compare-at price you commit a change to counts as one edit. A dry-run is free. A rollback is free. Updating the same variant twice in the same campaign counts as one. The counter resets on the 1st of each calendar month.

What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?

Only Free and Starter have a monthly cap (100 and 500 SKU edits per calendar month). Growth and Scale are unlimited — no auto-charge, no blocking, no upgrade nudge. If you go over on Free or Starter, the next campaign is blocked with a notice and a one-click upgrade link; already-committed campaigns (including their scheduled rollbacks) keep running.

Can I downgrade later?

Yes, anytime. Downgrade takes effect at the start of the next Shopify billing cycle. Your audit log retention adjusts to the new plan's window on the same date. Starter to Free downgrade takes effect at the end of your paid year.

Do you offer an annual plan on Growth and Scale?

Yes. Growth and Scale bill monthly or yearly, with 30% off when you commit to a year — Growth $83/yr instead of $119.88, Scale $167/yr instead of $239.88. You can switch billing frequency anytime from your Shopify subscription settings.

Is the Free plan permanently free?

Yes. The Free plan is a real product tier, not a trial. It exists so merchants can validate the workflow on their actual catalog before paying anything. We never plan to remove it.

Is there a free trial?

Growth and Scale ship a 5-day free trial through Shopify Billing. Nothing is charged during the trial, and cancelling within 5 days costs you nothing. Starter has no trial: at $18 per year, we treat the Free plan as the trial. Use Free to validate the core workflow (preview, rollback, up to 100 SKU edits a month) as long as you want, then commit to Starter when you know it's the tool you want.

Do you offer discounts for non-profits or development stores?

Development stores get the full app free (Shopify handles this automatically). Non-profits, yes: get in touch with proof of status and we grant Growth-tier access at no cost.
